Flutter is the dynamic instability of the structure when subjected to various aero-dynamic forces. The flutter analysis is essential and is very often needed to avoid destruction of the structure. FEM, CFD or Wind Tunnel testing are carried out for verification of a structure yet flutter qualification based on ground vibration testing and flight testing provides most accurate and reliable results. Today, flutter analysis has become mandatory requirement worldwide for structure qualification and standardization.
Our Flutter Analysis Facility is one of the unique facilities in the Defense and Aerospace Industry and is geared with state-of-the-art equipment which can evaluate the flutter behavior of complicated structures with outstanding accuracy and precision. The Flutter Analysis facility is completely mobile and the flutter laboratory can be moved to the customer site. The system is fully capable of carrying out flutter analysis of all the fighter aircrafts.
The same equipment can also be employed for Modal Analysis of various structures including vehicles, airframes etc.

Flutter Predictions
Flutter predictions is carried out using highly reliable and tested numerical tools. The instability can be predicted in subsonic, transonic and supersonic flight regimes.
Flight Test System
State-of-the-art Modular PCM data acquisition system is available for accelerometers, strain gauges, thermocouples, pressure sensors, GPS, Serial and Bus data. Data transmission over S-Band RF link. Telemetry Mobile Ground Stations are available for real time monitoring and processing of aircraft data. State of the art in-flight excitation system is also available for flutter flight tests. Reliable codes are available for predicting the onset of flutter and other flight critical parameters in real time.
