The Electrometric Interference (EMI) of one system with another has been known since the work on electrical systems started about century ago. All evidence suggests that EMI has become a major environmental concern as the use of electronic equipment spreads through all aspects of our lives.
EMC Testing ensures that the conducted or radiated emissions from an electrical system are kept within specified limits so that they may not degrade the performance of other electrical systems in the environment. Also the immunity of electrical systems to the conducted or radiated disturbances generated by other electrical systems is determined.
Benefits
Product safety concern is a critical factor in the design and manufacturing process. Problems of interference, compatibility and quality control have spawned numerous regulations at the international level. All products now require EMC and safety agency approvals before being placed on the international market.
The EMC Testing Facility: We provide the electronics industry with state-of-the - art emission and susceptibility compliance testing services. Our EMC testing facility is the only one in county and recognized & certified by Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA), Wapda & Military Sector.
Our EMI/EMC Laboratories offer the following services:
- EMI/EMC testing for emission and immunity to cover international standards for commercial, military, domestic, industrial and automotive producs. We can carry out testing according to Army, Air Force and Navy specifications under the recently harmonized standards MIL-STD 461E & IEC/European Standards.
- An RF Shielded Anechoic Chamber is available for EMI/EMC testing of Radiated emission, Conducted Emission, Conducted Susceptibility and Radiated Susceptability. The Chamber allows EMI/EMC testing of vehicles and other large equipment.
- An Open Area Test Site is also available for measuring Radiated Emission.
- EMI/EMC investigations for development programs, pre-compliance assessments, measurement of on-site conditions, reproducing interference failures and modifications to increase immunity
- Consulting engineering for rectification of interference problems, shielding advice, design recommendations, test plans, development procedures and Component Body assessments for the EMC framework
- EMR measurement to identify levels of electromagnetic radiation particularly for Occupational Health and Safety assessments.
- RF shielding and suppression whether it is for a computer site or for defense security.
